How old were you when seeing a film was sponsored by a police department first made you wary rather than trusting? I'm not sure but I assume I was trusting through elementary school, at least.
At least this one uses actual drug names.. the one we had to watch in elementary school in the 80s just referred to everything as "drugs" and the protagonist sure didn't get longdicked at the end; this would have scared me. Now excuse me while I do some drugs.
I think it was somewhere around middle school.
For me it wasn't a film, it was the rural legend; "If you smoke more than two joints a month, your lungs will be eaten with lung cancer in no time'. Sadly after figuring out that first warning was a lie, the other drugs didn't look so dangerous.
I think I watched way too much Dukes of Hazzard to ever trust the cops.
