Aren't we required to take at least one foreign language class in school? And isn't Fox News simulcast En Espanol? God, fuck this guy. I actually have a bit of respect for Fox for firing him.

If Coke's ad was just somebody saying "Mexican Coke: Better than normal Coke", I'd consider it truth in advertising and a monumental step in race relations. Because Mexican Coke is manna from Heaven.
As it stands, the commercial that we saw was a glib gloss over the potential fall out from the Sochi Olympics. If anything, it wasn't an ad that said "Yes, we'll pull out because we disagree with these anti-gay laws", and instead it was like a half-step "Maybe the gays will get this and the anti-gays will be distracted by the Mexicans" compromise, insidious in it's open willingness to try to have it's Coke and drink it too.

I actually taught the kids in my classes the "I'd like to teach the world to sing" song and they loved it. It was a perfect tool for making English fun and my school has been trying to push learning English through fun songs more. And they really liked it for the message of coming together. It was probably one of the more touching moments in my time in Korea and though I come home in a month I will always have that.
I intend on showing them the new Coke ad before I leave so they know that America is about strength through diversity and that patriotism in our country is not limited by ethnicity.
