The God of Biscuits - 2014-02-05

I'm pretty jealous of DMX's ability to punch that guy in the face.

Cena_mark - 2014-02-05

Same here. I've always believed that Zimmerman's complete inability to scrap with his hands is what led to the whole tragedy.

Gmork - 2014-02-05

Civilians who carry guns around in public are idiots. Zimmerman smacks of failed security guard, which is saying something because in many cases security guards come from failed cops.

Cena_mark - 2014-02-05

They said he was a cop wannabe. I don't know what kept him out of the force.
I think to get serious gun control in our country we should encourage black males to get carry permits and walk around with rifles wherever they go. That would get white conservatives on the gun control wagon in no time.

EvilHomer - 2014-02-05

Jealous? I'm not. You guys know what Zimmerman does to Negroes who punch him in the face.

Mister Yuck - 2014-02-06

Cena: Google Black Panthers and gun control.

EvilHomer - 2014-02-06

Yeah, I was gonna make a Stokely Carmichael joke!

I've alluded to my support for the Maoist stance on gun rights before. I don't actually *agree* with the Maoists, as there are significant problems with their position, chiefly having to do with their view of gun rights as a weapon and principle of opportunity, rather than an inherent and necessary part of the liberative social contract , and worse, the Messianic opinion they have of themselves. In Maoist theory, gun rights should be supported only so long as they are in the Maoist's own interests; once the Maoists attain power, gun rights should be clamped down upon, because Maoists represent the people, and surely the underclasses don't need to defend themselves from themselves, right? Only a counterrevolutionary backslider would feel the need to protect himself from the new order. As such, the Maoist position is ultimately self-defeating, oppressive, and inescapably authoritarian.

Nevertheless, as an educated white male from a privileged background, I'd sleep a lot easier knowing that if I pushed them too far, the underclasses could at any moment rise up and destroy everything I hold dear.

- we see similar attitudes all throughout Leninist thought; rights - whether they're gun rights or speech rights or what have you - are tools to be used and taken away according to the current needs of the Party. This kind of thinking is a big part of how our own radical "left" (

Cena_mark - 2014-02-06

That's what I was referencing. Hell the Black Panthers caused Ronald Reagan to say, Theres no reason why on the street today a citizen should be carrying loaded weapons.

CornOnTheCabre - 2014-02-05

if DMX really wanted to hurt Zimmerman without bloggers calling him worthless (well, moreso than usual), he should've just offered him a ride home

Merzbau - 2014-02-05

For extra bonus points, he announced this fucking thing on Trayvon Martin's birthday. Hopefully DMX is juuust mentally unstable enough for this to go *cough* "tragically" wrong.

SolRo - 2014-02-05

Zimmerman getting a savage beating seems like a good tribute.

badideasinaction - 2014-02-05

Points if he comes to the ring in a hoodie with a bag of Skittles.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-02-05

George Zimmerman is becoming this generation's Tonya Harding, except with more murder and less honeymoon sex tapes.

Old_Zircon - 2014-02-05

More like Joey Buttafuoco

The Mothership - 2014-02-05

stars for everything right here.

takewithfood - 2014-02-05

Does Zimmerman know he isn't allowed to bring a gun to this fight? I'm just saying, maybe someone should double check.

Pillager - 2014-02-05

I hope Zimmerman has absolutely Stellar health insurance...

Long term care at a nursing home is a wee bit pricey...

sosage - 2014-02-05

Isn't DMX kind of a small guy IRL? As much as Zimmerman is doughy?

exy - 2014-02-05

Why do people blink like that? It's kind of like Alex Jones. (Suspected answers involve meds.)

SolRo - 2014-02-06

if he weren't a scummy, roid-looking sleezeball, I could assume severe lack of sleep and the hard blinking is attempt to keep eyes focused.

but since that's not the case, maybe that's how you react when you feel your balls literally shrink during an interview.

Bort - 2014-02-05

Wonder how Zimmerman's going to back out of this one? I bet his attorneys have found some law or other that would make this event illegal, so Zimmerman will be spared a beating at the last minute.

Remember when Zimmerman allegedly helped those people out of a burning SUV? In case you never heard the follow-up on it, it turns out that:

1) there was an overturned SUV that was probably steaming but not on fire, and

2) a number of people did stop to help the occupants out of the SUV, but

3) Zimmerman wasn't one of them. One of Zimmerman's buddies on the Sanford police force, Patrick Rehder, called Zimmerman up and told him to come down for a photo op. So Zimmerman eventually showed up, sprayed a fire extinguisher at a couple of random objects, and went home.

Tonya Harding my ass; Tonya was a class act compared to this guy.

Spaceman Africa - 2014-02-05

This is pretty gross. I hope nobody fucking watches this mess.

TeenerTot - 2014-02-06

I'm really torn. While I like the idea of Zimmerman getting punched, it's still just giving him more money and spotlight. I'd really like him to end up poor, miserable and unknown.

Caminante Nocturno - 2014-02-06

I'd really like him to end up in prison, where he belongs.

Cena_mark - 2014-02-06

I'd like to see him end up poor too, but right now his frothing racist fans are paying top dollar for his artwork.
Sadly enough a conservative friend of mine finally realized that there are racists in his party. It was the responses to the Coke commercial that made him realize this and not Trayvon Martin.

Bort - 2014-02-06

At least he finally realized it. When your friend is ready, show him this poll:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/interactive/2013/07/24/fox-new s-poll-voters-are-unhappy-with-economy-say-repeal-obamacare/

Scroll down to page 10, question 6: "George Zimmerman: Please tell me whether you have a generally favorable or unfavorable opinion of this person." 45% of Republicans had a favorable opinion of him, and no other criterion tracked with Zimmerman support as closely as being a Republican did. I say Zimmerman support is itself proof of racism -- he'd be universally reviled if he'd followed a white kid -- so that puts the racism level in the GOP at a minimum of 45%.

Cena_mark - 2014-02-06

Then of course there's the whole "You're racist for accusing me of racism" gambit. Which of course is nothing but "I know you are, but what am I" for grown ups. They've been ignoring racism for so long they'll say the very acknowledgement of racism is racism.

gravelstudios - 2014-02-06

He's so deep in debt because of his legal battle, he pretty much has no choice but to do these kinds of silly publicity stunts. Wait long enough, and he'll have a reality show on A&E.

Cena_mark - 2014-02-06

I guess you're right. I wonder how long it'll be before the right wing tire of giving him hand outs. When that happens he'll be in real deep doo doo. He'll never be able to get a real job and he won't even be able to step out in public without bodyguards.
I'm sure his fans will forget about him long before his haters do.

Sanest Man Alive - 2014-02-06

I'd rather the man was just quietly garroted one balmy evening, and his body hidden in a landfill, his life to be eventually forgotten. He doesn't even deserve infamy anymore, because nothing has changed in response to his actions. He's just more fuel for the rage furnaces on both sides (Not claiming immunity here; fucking hell, the fact that there are even SIDES in his case or any of the mass shooting cases still makes me angry-ill).

But I guess an overhyped, nonlethal circus exhibit is all the justice I can ever hope for.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-02-06

I bet a painting made from his bloodied face hitting the boxing ring mat gets auctioned on eBay for over 0k.

The art thing (if it weren't basically google image search plagiarism) might be worthwhile, but only in the same way that sold by death row inmates is, as a peek inside a socio/psychopath's brain.

CornOnTheCabre - 2014-02-14

I like how the outrage about all of this ended up scuttling the event -- thereby leaving only increased visibility for Zimmerman, DMX, and the shills behind this that will undoubtedly continue creating events with the wake of this manufactured scandal contributing to their marketing reach. And now any of the charities that stood to benefit get nothing, and Zimmerman's face remains unpunched.

A victory for "human dignity"! (still an oxymoron, no matter how highly you think of yourself)
