I actually think that's pretty good Dogface by itself, it's better than a lot of what you see. Lots of times they simplify it for the kids, making it more like clown face, big and bold.

What I'd do is have at least some kind of head piece with real ears on it, with an open face, because he messes up the illusion when he turns his head I think, or howls.

I do like it though, but here's my favorite Dogface of that kind, from a Gaines Burgers ad I got back then:

There were TV commercials with Murray, and I saw the full ad just once, and half of it another time. There was also a female, fluffier Dog, and I saw her ad only once, and don't know what her name was and don't have any pictures.

I'd love to see that TV ad again and find more pictures or anything on the Murrays, they're a meaningful part of younger puppyhood for me.

Most pooches are pretty happy, and I feel that all of this Dog stuff was created for enjoyment. I know that some don't like the painted face style, but I know it and think it's cool.

Well I hope that in my Dog obsession that I'm being fair in my critique of the material! I just got a new press photo of Chomps yesterday, from the movie.
