I'm not sure what I'm watching, but if Arrington De Dionyso's in it, that's cool. Frankie Cosmos are great too

There are actually better episodes than this. I think it's mesmerizing at times, hilarious at others. Really the best kind of tv.

I used to come in and sing for this public access call-in chess show in the 90s, because they wanted a boy soprano and for a brief peroid there, I was the best in Portland. This show really reminds me of that. The chess game would happen, but it was really about the musical guests, the theme of the week, interviews, sketches, everything that would interrupt the chess show, leaving callers on hold long enough for them to complain when they finally got through. It was awesome!

I'm at 1:30 and this is 1 or 5 stuff...

Yeah, this is excruciating and boring at the same time
fucking Manhattan hipsters

Why did you fucking watch it then?
It's a bunch of musicians playing music for the most part.

I watched it to see if I would like it, and to rate it. I didn't watch the whole thing because I'm not a masochist. Not trying to crap on your parade, it's just god awful self-indulgent 'music'.

I just think it's cool to see something worth watching on public access again in the midst of youtube, vimeo, et al. Some of the music's more "meh" in my opinion but that's not really the point. Judging music's what 73q is for.

Also a one's just plain harsh. Even if you don't like it, it's not like it's the annoying orange or peanut butter jelly time or something.. there's 3 more stars in the middle from one to five. I don't like Portlandia either but if someone submits it, I'm not going to one star it. I'll either not watch/rate it or comment on it and leave my rating blank. All a one star does is make others skip over something they might find interesting, if it's trapped somewhere at 3 1/2. In other words, it was kind of a dick move.

I thought it was below baleen's usual submissions by as far as you can fall.

I've seen several episodes.
I think it's fun and original.
Suck a bag of ducks.
