we opened for them years ago; I was about to leave because the second band, also on the Woodsist label, was drunk and the lead singer took threw his shoe at the audience but it broke the chandelier instead at the veterans hall. We were the only band from Portland and figured it'd be our responsibility to pay for it, so they ditched but I stuck around and listened to Woods. Their earlier stuff sounds nothing like this.. a lot more like Bob Pollard with a high voice or something. At first I was skeptical of the new sound, but I've grown to love it.
