Seems like a decent but incomplete and absurdly overpriced game.

Holy shit though I can't remember the last time a game received more undeserved blowjobs from whorish reviewers. You usually only see that from established AAA franchises.

Have you played it? Maybe it's fun (I don't know I haven't bought it)

People I trust say it's a fun enough, but ultimately short and disposable 6on6 FPS that suffers from the player limit, and a lack of maps and playmodes other than death match and CTF.

Everyone who isn't a whorish professional reviewer says is ridiculous for what you get.

It was reviewed by a colleague of mine as a futuristic Call of Duty-ish game where you could be a fast-moving soldier with parkour moves, or (when you jump into a Titan), a slow-moving soldier who couldn't jump but could blow stuff up real good.

It had some other mechanics like being able to crawl on the Titan, have it fight for you without you piloting it, etc., but it wasn't terribly ground-breaking. I think I find Hawken more appealing.

People whose opinions I trust say it's pretty fun in a crazy Unreal Tournament sort of way (perhaps not as fast), but that it primarily caters to the kind of online-only fanatic players that normally stink up the lobbies of CoD style games and generally has a very awful community building up around it. And yes, the fact it is being sold as a full-retail title is basically bullshit.

My main problem with the so-called professional reviewers have been the ones who have the attitude that it's them vs. an army of single-minded trolls and moronic haters who should all get down on their bony knees and praise the developers for being GENEROUS enough to make Titanfall 6v6.

Video games are probably the only area where professional reviewers are 100% so blatantly anti-consumer.

And new we're going to have to hear about it endlessly every time them or someone in the industry receives a negative tweet, and watch as they spin it into proof that all criticism of the companies are just crazy death threats.

So IS the game any good? Please try to refrain from giving opinions based on moral values, since I don't care about those. The game could be racist, cast in a grey-brown colour pallet, support the idea of corporate overlords, continue a slow crawl into everything being Call of Duty, etc. Whatever. I'm just interested in, underneath all that, is this game fun?

I hear this is good but really rushed and really incomplete. So, not great.
