The irony is that McDonalds was directly responsible for a significant amount of that environmental destruction.

"No slime is good slime", as they say in gladiatorial circles.
"New slang when you notice the flies, dead in your fries." -New Slang by The Shins.
McDonald's employed that song in a commercial ,000,000.
It's appropriate that they would also make a video game consisting of a child shooting diarrhea at diarrhea monsters that explode into clouds of diarrhea.

Lame. The BK Kids Club was way cooler. They had a kid in a wheelchair called Wheels. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:BKkidsclubgang.png
To the best of my knowledge, the MC Kids were never used in traditional advertising, or if they were, it was only in a very limited capacity. If you're going to compare the BK Kids Club to anyone, it would have to be Ronald McDonald and his McDonaldland crew; Grimace, Birdy, the Fryguys, Mayor McCheese and so forth.
Whether the BKKC were cooler than the McDonladland lineup is a complex and somewhat counter-intuitive question. In brief, I'd say that, yes, the BK Kids were "cooler" than their bitter rivals, but that this coolness was actually detrimental. The BK Kids were part of that early-90s "Mascots with Attitude" fad that produced so many insufferably hip douchebags, characters like Sonic the Hedgehog, Chester Cheetah, and Rocky Rodent. The BKKC were too fresh, too in-your-face; too cool for their own good.
In short, they were the Poochies of the fast food world.
Kid Vid was pretty awesome, though.
Sanest Man Alive
Kid Vid wore a swimming mask because he removed his own eyelids so he could watch tv in his sleep.
You're not alone in being struck by the concept of the Kids Club Whose Characters Are Kids: http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=112186

As it turns out, Global Gladiators, I was not ready, least of all for those audio samples.
That "VIIIR-GIIIN" at the start just drips with mockery.
