15 minutes of fame or not, I remembered who he was when "Puck" was first brought up, and I couldn't tell you off the top of my head who was the star of The Godfather Part I and the Godfather Part II, Al Pacino or Robert DeNiro respectively. And I've never seen a single episode of the Real World.
Kinda sad to think that we'll remember the Pucks, the Tonya Hardings and the rest long after we forget some of our most treasured actors.

The fact that this airhead got paid thousands of dollars to go to speaking engagements is either proof that people have too much money to spend or the entire industry of reality TV had yet to reach a point of immediate obscurity.
It seems the earlier you go with reality TV, the longer the celebrity shelf life. Right now its over the minute the Idiot Show of the Day is, which makes me actually have some faith left in humans.

Azmo23 - 2014-04-15 it didn't have a gameshow aspect, it was more like jersey shore or whatever shows just follow people around, except the production crew rarely left the apartment everyone was forced to live in
later seasons would also film them at clubs and even a tshirt stand they had to operate or some other similar stripmall business
