I'm the same way, only with black shirts. I own about a dozen plain black shirts, with or without pockets, as well as a couple of very dark blue shirts that look black in most lighting conditions. I also own three identical black hoodies and a handful of old Army shirts, all of which are identical too. In fact, I think the only shirt I own which doesn't look exactly like the rest of my wardrobe is my Richard Feynman t-shirt, which I wear for special occasions and semi-formal events.

I'm not really looking for his beige shirts, but I would be interested in buying some of his sweaters.

I wish I could be a sweater wearer, but I just can't deal with long-sleeved shirts. If it's a cotton shirt, I invariably push the sleeves up to my elbows. If it's a collared shirt, I eventually break down and have to roll them up. I don't know why I'm like this.

Honestly, Britain. What is it with washing machines in the kitchen?

infinite zest - 2014-04-18

I've noticed that too. If my apartment had my own washing machine (and not a shitty community one in the basement) the kitchen would be the only place it could conceivably fit. What I wonder is, I don't normally see a dryer, and these are usually videos from pretty damp clients like Ireland and Britain, where air-drying isn't very effective for a good half of the year.

There's ways around air drying. My grandparents had a heater-rack in the shower room which could dry clothes even in nice English weather; I've got a similar setup in my own apartment, albeit jury-rigged with a ghetto portable heater, instead of a fancy-ass Edwardian hot-water heater. Just get a drying rack and put it near a heat source that won't short circuit and electric you.

Cute. Electrocute.

Too lazy to read?

Average residential floor space per capita:
United States: 77
Canada: 72
UK: 33

I have been told by an English lady that every man in Britain is like David Mitchell and I kind of believe her.

baleen - 2014-04-19

I meant to say England, not Britain.

EvilHomer - 2014-04-19

Britain is a tiny island and it's crowded as fuck. My grandparents were fairly wealthy by British standards (both made the equivalent of a six-figure income), and their entire house was about the size of your average American low-income duplex unit.

Here is a picture:

Notice the lack of yards or gaps between the houses or roads big enough for more than one car to pass abreast. This is what the entire country looks like, mile after mile of this. Anyone who tells you there are bits that don't look like this is a liar and is probably trying to scam you into coming there on holidays, at which point he will mug you, steal your passport, and try to escape the country using your ID.

David Mitchell's face looks _distinctly_ Torontonian.

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-04-18

When the video started I thought, oh my, that's a lot of beige shirts. Then he talked about dying perfectly good white shirts beige. Then he talked about converting the collars. I'm not sure what to think.
