Was Weezer all that good or bad? I remember "Buddy Holly" and "The Sweater Song," but they just seemed to be "Generic Semi-Grunge Band #225 that isn't Nirvana" in the 90's to me.

EvilHomer - 2014-04-27 They were very nerdy and self-aware, which helped play to the sort of people who loved irony and thick black-framed glasses. Other than that, I don't know. The only one of their songs I liked was Pork and Beans, but that came out almost a decade after their relevancy, and also that one video they did with the Muppets was pretty neat.
They were like the Big Bang Theoried version of TMBG.

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2014-04-27 Actually, Homer, that description of Weezer as TMBG for people who like the Big Bang Theory is totally dead on.
Rivers Cuomo wears funny glasses and went to Harvard and this is really important to some people. They had some pretty good videos. Weezer's music is unbelievably bland, though.
