I suggest a minute's silence where everyone stops what they are doing and sways gently from side to side.

Eulogizing him with *this* film is in very poor taste. Should we not be remembering him at the peak of his career, perving on Jessica Rabbit's pattycake sessions?
Bob Hoskins is the only person I remember from Hook. In fact, that's usually the first thing I remember him being in. When I saw RIP Bob Hoskins on the front page, I thought, who? Looked up a picture of him. Oh yeah! Smee from Hook!

In all honesty he wasn't that great of an actor. Sure he could emote really well, had screen presence and could create believable characters but he's short and pudgy. I mean, just look at his body, no muscle definition, tiny biceps and where did his pecs go?
I respect his body of work and the fact that even the shittest of movies he was in were elevated by his roles but come on guys, he doesn't look like he could bench press 30lbs let alone 300lbs. Unless he was a powerlifter, but who cares those guys are fat.
No wonder he was never in an expendables movie.
That's one way of looking at it, but I don't think it really mattered how small his biceps were. He was not a very good action film actor or even much of a romantic comedy lead, but that's OK because he was a different kind of actor, like a dramatic actor or something.
