Sanest Man Alive - 2014-05-20
Couldn't finish; somehow the dialog's even more frantically paced than I remember while actually saying even less at the same time. I was probably dumb to ever like Spongebob, but I used to get some good chuckles out of it a few times while channel-surfing. This is just... I'm struggling for words.

I couldn't make it more than a minute. When I was in college people would get high and watch Spongebob but I usually didn't have the time to join them. When I had to babysit my nephew the ones I saw did kind of remind me of what I've discovered about Adventure Time: I could see a 2 year-old enjoying this as much as a 20-something stoner or an uncle would. This is just.. What the fuck.

One of the things I've kind of respected about Family Guy is the way they've toned down the "This is just like the time I blah blah blah MR T" shit when they could've just kept doing it. Because it's kind of funny in a "heh.. oh yeah I remembered that" way. It could've just been more and more and more references to stuff and less and less and less of a plot, but they seemed to opt for some sort of "let's try to make our show somewhat decent.." I dunno. At least it's trying to evolve into something, where this is just.. god it's horrible.

I watched some of the Family Guy this season because I was curious about the Dog thing.. going back to the Simpsons did anyone else notice the similarities between the new dog and Brad Bird's failed cartoon called Family Dog?

I rarely catch the Simpsons but it's just weird. You'd think a bunch of young writers who grew up on ostensibly the best episodes (like Lisa Needs Braces) could make better plotlines. It's self aware of this at times but srsly wtf lol brb afk

All the good Simpsons plots have been done. It's not a matter of skilled writers so much as it's the fact that the show has been creatively strip-mined, which is bound to happen when you've churned out 550 episodes.

At some point they're just going to give up and do an episode called "Lisa Needs EVEN MORE Braces."

Also Spongebob has always sucked.

It seems kinda innocent to me.. Especially if I was a toddler. I don't think there's the "educational" value of Dora the Explorer, but he teaches math and well, new Sesame Street was harder for me to watch with the little poop machine.

I dunno. I always hear at least one funny "new" Simpsons idea from someone on poetv when a clip is posted. I'm pretty sure they were running low on ideas with the Spinoff episode way back in its golden era and the reason it worked was because it was funny and well written. It's possible to make a completely lazy idea like Bart wants an Xbox or ps4 into something funny.

Meh, I watched the whole thing. Its no worse than Spongebob always has been.

By giving this one star, I'm saying that you were successful in your goal of displaying a really bad cartoon clip.
