Tyrion made a speech about how horrible it was to watch Geoffery whip an innocent prostitute to death for his own amusement. Then he started dancing to Devo's "Whip It." The books are so much more complex and intelligent.

I tend not to read novelizations of movies and tv shows. Despite the odd sincere attempt to close plot holes and add depth to the story they are almost always inferior to the media they are based on.
