I love narratives in things like this, because they're so hilariously pointless. Imagine if he was walking through a Wal Mart saying "in the future we keep milk in plastic, and chocolate is 1 cent a unit. We come to these places to shop, because we run out of food at home after eating it."

I would enjoy that.

Maybe it's just because I'm old and have seen so much sci-fi, but this just seemed really generic and bland to me.

It's like a modern version of those hilariously overreaching "in the future" bits from the 50s.

Future technology stamping out humanity is going to look more like the movie Her than Bladerunner.

Pretty much. But I think this type of far-fetched futurism is still really fun and entertaining.
