"You've got no excuse for not enjoying your life."
Oh yes I do.
You hear that, Appalachians? Quit your whining about poverty!
Fucking whitey makes me sick.
The proteus syndrome lady didn't say that. I admired her outlook and her drive. It was her friend who said it. Sort of a shitty thing to say.

The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off - Documentary
Stars for monetized misery.
It's a BBC documentary series, they're actually very compassionately done and pretty fascinating.
This episode was miles better than the standard TLC-look-at-the-freak shows; gotta give credit there.
But looking at all those titles and preview images made me feel like I was standing outside a virtual circus freak show tent. I couldn't help thinking the people grabbing the most cash from these could give a shit less how compassionately they're done as long as the money flows.
Is my blinding cynicism/pessimism showing?
They show these on TLC and Discovery Health in America all the time!

I am tired of these jokes about my giant legs. The first such incident occurred in 1956 when...
I hate to be this guy, but I'm gonna go there: I acknowledge and appreciate that reference!

There once was a lady from London. She had problems down below her waist. It's a serious medical condition and you shouldn't ridicule.

I couldn't continue watching after seeing the stump continued to grow after the leg was removed.
When they can stick brains in robot bodies or download them into a virtual reality, people like this need to be allowed to be first in line on general principle.
Seriously, fuck everyone who accidentally has it better than her.
