So a little back story on this:

A friend of mine co-directed it and some other videos when he was working at an art therapy program for adults with developmental disabilities. Apparently they got some flak from the sort of folks who tend to infantilize people like this instead of treating them like equals, over claims that it was "exploiting" the clients, but the clients themselves (who came up with the concept, performed the music and generally had a lot of creative control over the whole thing) loved it.

The bald guy in the black, sleeveless shirt (I forget his name) is apparently amazing, and has been in with biker gangs for a long time. My friend had some stories about going to biker bars with him that are pretty great but I won't even try to o them justice. He also drinks O'Douls a lot and claims it gets him wasted.

There's plenty of other good stuff on this channel, but most of it falls short of the stuff made by the two guys who directed this.

I actually considered this place when I was looking for work a couple years ago, and if I'd known stuff like this was happening I'd have probably gotten myself a job there. I feel like maybe 1 in 5 people I know has been there at one pint or another, I guess it's a popular employer for underemployed art weirdos.

Just an update, one of my roommates from my last apartments is working with these people now. I might team up with him to do a public access special or something, I'm not sure yet. We talked about it a few weeks ago but I don't really see him that often since I moved out so we'll see what happens.
