Funny but I still imagine those puppets spouting each of these great zingers.

I do prefer it when Rifftrax takes on movies like this, or various educational film shorts, or items like their recent take on a 1940's Batman serial, rather than big blockbuster films - The Guy from Harlem feels like it's in the same general vein as a lot of the films covered during the days of MST3K, in this case a very half-assed, slapdash movie executed with the bare minimum of effort on the part of all involved.

They have been doing a lot more b-movies. Seems like that has been the demand for a while and thy finally listened. I mean, they still do blockbusters, but Legend Entertainment has been snatching up copyrights for them to do Video on Demand of this stuff pretty frequently in the past two years or so.

All that said, this was Hobgoblins bad. No, this was Starfighters bad. This was almost too much for me. Not one goddamn thing happens in this movie, and while the guys get a few zingers in, you've just seen them all. 5 minutes out of over an hour of dull hell.

I highly recommend the Mutant and Nightmare at Noon VODs, also known as the Wings Hauser Saga.

Tar and feather me if you must, but I even have trouble getting through Dolomite movies in their entirety.. I just fast forward through all the gratuitous 70s boobs and blatant homophobia to get back to Rudy kicking ass.

They need to do Prometheus.
