I'll never understand why Jimmy Fallon keeps working on live shows.

Maybe you're just a frivolous dummy, and aren't cynical enough.

This is one the level of a really lousy SNL sketch.....just like 99% of them, and Fallon as usual only knows to laugh and "break character" again and again. Actual props for Carrey and Daniels for doing their best with such lousy material.

I laughed at 3:30-ish, so okay, have some stars.
Wish Fallon wouldn't break character.
Did you seriously just compare this sketch to Kids in the Hall?
kids in the hall is light years beyond this
Yes, I compared it to a very bad version of a KITH sketch. Specifically the sketch where a young Neve Campbell walks into the Pizza place and orders a slice. Or object-based comedy like the Pet Oatmeal, which could've been the dumbest thing ever but turned out brilliant. Daniels and Carrey obviously have a knack for this and natural chemistry, making a one-joke sketch as bad as Coneheads awkwardly funny by drawing it out to its logical conclusion. Fallon, like Campbell, ruined it.

I would say it's not so much performed as suffered through.

This wasn't funny and went on for too long.
even shittier than the shitty sketch, was the shitty set up!

I find joy in cynicism, so thanks!
