This movie needs more love. It's got great special effects, a disturbingly dark plot, and Sean Connery. It's this and "The Three Lives of Thomasina" and "Mary Poppins" that were the highwater mark of Disney's Producer-As-Eccentric-Auteur thing.

I guess the actor who plays Darby couldn't play the fiddle, so on the close up shots it is someone else's arms playing.

as a little person back in the day i saw this several times in the theater.
