I'm willing to take some shit for this opinion, but I find this character and animation style derivative and sucky.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'd just like to hear more about why you dislike this.
My first thought was "oh, it's another Aeon Flux rip-off." Then the characters made me think "oh, it's another oh-so-edgy design like that Tron cartoon."
