Nicely executed Alanis Morissette joke.

I enjoyed the subtle UHF shoutout in there.

I seriously almost took off a star for his throwing the Oxford comma under the bus there, but I had 5 stars' worth of fun anyway.

I think it's a thinly veiled Vampire Weekend joke.

I guess that veil can be as thin as it needs to be because that's possibly the first time I've seen that phrase.

When I was a little kid my dad would take me to the Dr. Demento show over at Reed College, and he introduced me to Weird Al and TMBG among others. So instead of getting actual albums we'd just listen to Weird Al tapes in the car and such, and I wouldn't hear the original counterparts to "Another One Rides the Bus," "My Balogna," "I Love Rocky Road" etc. until years and years later. By the time "Smells like Nirvana" came out I was up to speed, but I don't think I've heard either of these two songs, or if they were on the radio or a bar somewhere I wasn't paying attention. It's like being a kid all over again!

The first tape I ever bought myself was Weird Al in 3D. The "Polkas on 45" medley was my introduction to a lot of music my parents weren't cool enough to have been listening to.

My first concert was Weird Al when I was 12, I have to remember to thank my old man for that one the next time I see him.

The first album I ever got was Weird Al's "Permanent Records" Boxed Set, not long after Bad Hair Day got released.

Shenanigans! He says "literally smack a crowbar upside your stupid head," but in the video he's clearly hitting him over the head! Where's your "literally" now, Al?!?

I am fully back on board with this motherfucker, and I was wrong to ever shrug at the mention of his name.

I'm 30 and he's still inspiring as hell to me... A Plus, Al. Good comedy bang bang episode today.

All the catchiness and none of the rape!

This would be perfect to rip for my remedial English workshop presentations. They'd understand Robin Thicke, but not the difference between its/it's.
