What, no Craig Kilborn tag?

Scrimmjob - 2014-07-21 Rectified, also this guy's channel has a bunch of great Kilborn era clips, for anyone who is interested.

I loved the nonsense news of the old daily show. I appreciate the show more for its job in informing the masses.
|
infinite zest - 2014-07-22 I always liked Kilborn more than Stewart for a show that was supposed to be comedy: if anyone could make us smile at whatever is going on in the rest of this world right now it was him.
|
Cena_mark - 2014-07-22 Peabodys man. You think covering an old man's outrage towards the cereal industry would win Peabodys?
|
Scrimmjob - 2014-07-22 When Craig first left, I was really disappointed. I never liked Stewart much, but he grew on me. I also never liked Craig's late late show very much.
Now watching these old clips for the first time in years, I remember why I liked the Craig years so much.

infinite zest - 2014-07-22 Kilborn was intentionally the dumb sportscaster and would let Unger, Littleford and the rest take care of the facts. Don't get me wrong, I respect Stewart, but if I had to do a little analogy here, Craig Kilborn's Daily Show is to Norm MacDonald's Weekend Update as John Stewart's is to Jimmy Fallon's.

Guy has a pretty neat life story. I also really want to see the other Daily Show clips where he reviews male enhancement drugs and stuff.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-07-23
What I loved about the Kiborn era Daily Show was that there was no live audience, and instead you could hear the crew cracking up. I was intimate. It almost felt like local TV, which is pretty much extinct these days, except for news.
