There are plenty of weird things about this. But possibly the weirdest thing for me is that since this was shot in 2014(!!!!), 18 years since the murder, it means this girl would probably be younger than JonBenet if she were still alive. She probably doesn't personally remember anything about the murder and its coverage, only hearing about it secondhand from other internet necrocult weirdos.
Pope Caius - 2014-08-10
She probably heard about it during the whole thing with John Mark Karr and we all had to see JonBenet's photoshop-tortured visage on magazine covers again.

Really? You don't think that it's weirder that she's doing one of JonBenet's dance routines?

A lot of times, what seems like a morbid obsession can actually be healthy and therapeutic if it sparks creativity. I'm thinking of James Ellroy's adolescent obsession with the Black Dahlia murder, which happened a year before he was born. I'm no shrink, but this girl probably has some serious issues, and they may have to do with something terrible that happened to her as a little girl, and this could be her way of getting ready to face it. A lot of young people deal with childhood abuse by drinking a lot of alcohol and taking a lot of drugs. If this is her way of dealing with childhood abuse (just an example, I don't know what's really going on here) doing a JonBenet dance on YouTube is much much better.

Probably even weirder than your ex-girlfriend. You know, that one.

Also, is anybody else's neck sore?

The sheer number of bizarre Youtube channels dedicated to Jon Benet Ramsey is creepy. I just don't understand the obsession.

As a symbol, a six year old beauty queen whose murder becomes a media event can service more than one obsession.

>>can service more than one obsession.

?!

You want an example? As a symbol, a murdered child beauty queen can be a potent tragic symbol to gender traditionalists AND feminists.

Pope Caius - 2014-08-11
Also, she's become an icon to drag queens for some reason or another.

EvilHomer - 2014-08-11
Oh. I thought you were talking about celebrity stalkers, necrophiliacs, and child molesters.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-08-11
Check, check, and check!

Drag queens? I guess I see how that could work.

StanleyPain - 2014-08-10
This girl's channel is super-creepy. I'm always slightly creeped out by people whose YT channels are just weird, unconnected, random slices of their personal lives shorn of context, and this girl kinda hits that mark.

I don't find this channel creepy at all, but it sure is bizarre, and she seems to have a two year old child holding the camera.

You are just fucking nailing this comment section, John. You're like that guy obsessed with Boxy except poignant and insightful instead of obnoxious and weird. Godspeed.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-08-11
Actually, that guy obsessed with Boxxy is another good example.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-08-11
Do you know what Catie Wayne represents to me? The gifted young person I once was, before my life took a turn for the crapper. Watching her take charge of her own destiny has been inspiring and painful, but it''s forced me to face my issues.
Pope Caius - 2014-08-11
Could be worse. You could have been more of a Jessie Slaughter, doomed from the start.

Oh, I get it, this is the Dead Skin Mask music video with the music removed and the foley redone.
