I scanned Twitter for a while last night when this story broke....so much ignorance and idiocy in the world.

Tragic story, and do not watch the video if you are sensitive.
Internet summary;

"God-king made look bad by stupid idiot, I hope God-king isn't too hard on himself"
Not that I know anything about racing -- but like every one is slowing down because there is a wreck and a caution flag out, and it sounds (and looks) like Tony Stewart speeds up as he nears the victim. Am I missing something?
Jet Bin Fever
Nope. Pretty sure he did.

I heard a lot of that coming over the internet from people who were actually there is that they heard the engine gun for sure right before he hit him, which would kinda make sense since he clips him with the back part of his car and sprint cars generally fishtail out when you gun the throttle (I had a relative to used to do sprint cars at our local speedway). I know nothing about this race or this particular driver or anything, but it looks like from the videos on the internet, that the drivers slowed for a caution flag but Stewart definitely is going way faster around that turn than anyone else.

There are only two ways to be certain it's manslaughter without some kind of forensics shit.

If there's a video with a wide angle of the track showing stewart moving, under caution, from the inside line to the outside as he approaches the crashed car.

Or if there's in-car camera footage showing the above -and- audio that it was definitely him revving the engine and not another car.

I don't think you know what manslaughter is. Manslaughter is Reckless behaviour that leads to the fatality of another. Killing someone in rage is third degree murder.

and there's no evidence for that, any half-assed defense could run with that, and especially the ones this fatass can afford.

James Woods
You fucking...Uhg there's video evidence, lots of it. Jesus, are you really so goddamn dense?

It is impossible to know what happened from Tony Stewart's perspective. If he was trying to buzz past Ward, that would be reckless and stupid. More likely-- it was a terrible accident brought on by an error in judgment. Regardless, the ambiguity has not stopped some NASCAR fans from speculating that Tony is a murderer.
I don't get it. Can somebody give me a run-down?
fat redneck asshole with history of being an asshole kills somebody in what looks like assholery-gone-wrong.

every inbred joey boby on the internet cries out in defense of said asshole.

"By crackers, for crackers"

From Wikipedia: "On September 24, Stewart was cleared by the grand jury after it was determined through a toxicology test that Ward was acting under the influence of marijuana at the time of the accident."

Since he was stoned, his death is now a meaningless tragedy!
