It's like every bad high school group from Battle of the Bands playing all at once.
Also, does anyone else remember that guy who made reaction videos of himself while working at Guitar Center? I tried to find them but couldn't.

Mother_Puncher - 2014-08-10

I've actually thought about doing field recordings in a Guitar Center. This place is prime property

yes, for MADNESS

1394 - 2014-08-10

Horrible!

I like to think I was the one responsible for the local guitar center to institute a 'headphones only' policy on the synth drum kit.

It's the middle of every Dinosaur Jr. Song

Whenever I've gone to a GC just to try out an instrument or piece of hardware I'm trying to do things quietly and carefully and use headphones and some jackass who is clearly there just to show off is showing off as loudly as possible.

The most recent time I was in a GC was to try out their electric drumkits, and the sales dude in the drum area had to keep on asking this one Neil Peart wannabe to tone it down for a bit, which he would, begrudgingly, for about 10 seconds. Salesperson apologized profusely.

I ended up just buying online.

"some jackass who is clearly there just to show off is showing off as loudly as possible."

I think that explains the above video quite succinctly, as New York is 80% of the above.

chumbucket - 2014-08-11

The people who work here are likely not paid enough.

EvilHomer - 2014-08-11

As far as low paying service/retail jobs go, this is still better than the alternatives. I'd rather be in Times Square listening to a hundred different guitarists at once than ringing up customers at WalMart while light radio plays the same twelve pop songs over and over again.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-08-16

and besides which, who needs their hearing anyway?

memedumpster - 2014-08-11

God dammit, Mike Patton, stop making music.

hammsangwich - 2014-08-11

He just had to rethink the latest Fantomas album.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2014-08-11

I think my head would explode after a week of eight hours a day of this.

As close to the "Maestro" comic of The Far Side as real life gets.
