I fully admit that it's not that close to being a Talking Heads song, but it's the band with the sound closest to this that I could name. Either that or Devo, I suppose.

Some guy in the comments suggests it sounds like a band called The Residents, which is a little more "cult" than my musical awareness extends to.

Whatever it is, it goes great with the animation. I meant "unsettling" in the best possible way. I also like how the song ends abruplty and then the cat meows, which is the only possible way to end this, they didn't need to make it pedantic with a moral.

Closer to Talking Heads than Devo. It has that speak-singing thing that bands like Pere Ubu, Public Image Limited, etc were doing.

I could totally buy it being an actual track on some classic album. It's not that far away from what some bands were doing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnSFJg0VyhM

Wow, so I almost posted this comment by itself:

"I've always wondered what Michael Sporn could make if someone gave him million to do a feature film."

Before posting, I checked his website. He has a feature film in pre-production called POE.

Turns out he didn't get enough funding from Kickstarter. :(

And he died in January. I'm going to leave the Internet now.

Ah, that's terrible to find out. :-(

Thanks for the link to his studio website, though. At least Michael Sporn left a legacy of interesting animation. :-D
