I didn't have the slightest idea what to make of this movie when I saw it in grade school, and I still kinda don't.

I think I saw it in middle school around the same time as I was into other Troma films like Kabukiman and Poultrygeist. It's pretty much a big gay joke, but never felt uncomfortably homophobic for me, any more than South Park's Big Gay Al or Mr. Show's New San Francisco were. I dunno.

I was way to young to pick up on that, I saw it in like 5th grade maybe.

I must see this.

It's a great movie. Also features Fergie.

John Carradine!

Also: "destroy all closets!" - gay monster liberation reaches its apogee.

Right up there with "out of the bars and into the streets."

Looks like a ripoff of C.H.U.D, but not boring.

Destroy all closets.

I was ecstatic when I finally found this on the Internet after spending 20 years of remembering something vague about a weird movie about a monster in a closet.

5 for the metallophone (yes I checked, it's neither a xylophone nor a vibraphone) scene at the end of the movie.

I think I saw this with my mother when the USA Network aired it at 4 AM.
