A few days before the election, Franken looks to be winning by 11.4%.
I will vote as many times as I possibly can for this man, which unfortunately is zero. But you Minnesotans, go support Al on Tuesday.

Bort - 2014-10-31 I like that Stuart DOESN'T save the family, because that's the whole point -- you can't fix anyone else, but you can work together and improve. That's maybe a little cerebral for Yet Another Godforsaken SNL Movie, but it's also kind of fair.

infinite zest - 2014-10-31 And to Minnnesota's next door neighbors, PLEASE vote Mary Burke (although I assume every Wisconsinite on poetv hates Walker as much as I do)

Bort - 2014-10-31 Any of you in Ohio, I wouldn't mind if you helped me knock Kasich, Mandel, and the rest of those shitstains out of power. This election's all about turnout, same as four years ago, and we all should have learned our lesson about what happens when we let the assholes do all the voting.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-10-31 "Stewart Saves his Family" is a terrific movie, much maligned because some people just couldn't handle an SNL spinoff with dramatic, even tragic overtones. Even saw it on a list of "Ten Worst SNL spinoff films on YouTube, and I was like: WTF?
The best ever Daily Affirmation was when Stewart was shown binging on cookies and raging at the audience becasue his movie had bombed.
Pretty sure Stewart didn't bang Laura San Giacomo. In fact, there were suggestions that he's gay. Either way, that would have been 13th STEPPING."

infinite zest - 2014-10-31 Ten WORST? What was the "Best" list like?
|
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-10-31 It was a hell of a lot better than "It's Pat" which was released around the same time.
The thing about that movie was that it was kind of unique in talking about abuse and addiction with a really subtle and self aware kind of humor. If you've ever grown up around those things in your family it's totally easy to relate to.

infinite zest - 2014-10-31 Oh yeah. According to the Wikipedia anyway, it also includes Blues Brothers and Mr. Saturday Night, which were both great movies. I should re-watch Stuart Saves his Family, as I saw it when I was like 12 expecting another Wayne's World.

Bort - 2014-10-31 Wow, I had never heard of "13th stepping" before. You learn something new and horrible every day.

I think he's impressive as a senator, but you get the feeling that he's surrounded but bodyguards who will dive on him if he starts to tell a joke.
