You know what doesn't make it look like you're filming on a barely-developed colony world? Railroad tracks.
The Old Navy top doesn't help either.

0:00-0:20 "Cut! . . .ok, um.... just... just back to one."
*thinks for a minute*
"Hold on, guys"
*walks over to actress*
"Uh.... let's . . . tryyyy... that again. This time just, uh.... I'm at a loss for words. What if.... you.... she.... ah . . . ok I think....we're good"
*walks aimlessly back to monitor*
The painful, awkward space cowboy talk made me feel bad for the original actors. But at least it was written by actual writers and performed by actual actors. This... why would they do that to themselves voluntarily?
Firefly was shit, that's why it was cancelled. Let it go already, cheetofuckers.
Firefly fans suck. I was at dragoncin and was trolling them for fun by telling them the show only lasted one season because it sucked and that Full House lasted 8 seasons thus was 8 times better. I swear one fan was about to hit me. They are the confederate apologists of TV. The Confederacy lasted for five years and 160 years later is still pined for and Firefly lasted one season and after all these years is still pined for. Also MLP FIM will begin its 5th season soon.
I almost kinda hope that rumored Firefly revival on Netflix mostly produced and directed by the cast actually happens just to see the buttery tears of all the Whedon worshiping retards when it turns out to be utter shit.
Rodents of Unusual Size
That turned out to be a hoax.
Also, this movie? The one you are looking at? Right here? This movie made 5,000 which it was allowed to make because they donated it to charity. But still. People bought this.
I'll just let that sink in.
Meh, there are worse things to buy for charity.
Firefly sucked. It lasted one season because it sucked. Full house lasted 8 seasons and was 8 times better.
While not as acrid as Cena mark in his condemnation of Firefly and it's fans, I've never been a real fan of Whedon and what I saw of Firefly didn't make a good impression on me, it was bad fusion of Western and sci-fi. Whedon's trademark dialogue, that leans towards an annoyingly manufactured quirkiness, was ladled on thickly.
The dedicated Firefly fanbase though, yikes. Much of the fanbase for the show makes the Eltingville Comic Book, Science-Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, and Role-Playing Club and the Scientologists put together look like a gentlemen's tea party.
The overall Whedon fanbase is ridiculous.
If you really want to indulge in hating them, here's a good place to start:
I think like 10% of his fanbase would commit murder for him.
I normally loathe Whedon but thought Firefly was okay. It was best when it took place entirely in space and very much less so when it tried to be a western.
I thought Firefly was fun. After I watched the season, I moved on to something else.
