50 yards for reshowing the product.

I wish I still had my PC Gamer that pitted Win95 against OS/2 Warp.
Back in high school the bass player in my band switched to BeOS for a while and tried to convince all his friends to follow. Makes sense, BeOS was a pretty bass player OS in retrospect.
That's like pitting Ben Stein against Steven Hawking.
I used BeOS for a while but the networking support was never good enough for me so I gave up and switched back to Linux, which also had shitty hardware support at the time but at least it supported my goddamn ne2000 Ethernet card.
BeOS lives on: https://www.haiku-os.org/
BeOS was cool because it was the most music production oriented OS at the time outside of the Atari ST. I almost set it up on an old tower 5 or 6 years ago, maybe now that virtual machines are actually practical on a laptop I should finally try it. Ixm already doing a lot of CGI tinkering in an NT 4 vm, itXd be easy enough to add another.

the first computer our family ever bought was a windows 95 computer with windows at home.
I think we were completely bored with the whole package within a few days, though a few of the creative/art games had replay value.
AOL was why we got a computer in the first place.
I still use DOS (or at least DOSbox/console) pretty regularly for non gaming purposes.

Fury3 was terrible, but Terminal Reality went on to make RoadKill, one of the most underrated and excellent games of the time. The best car combat game no one has ever heard of.
Roadkill was awesome! I was white elephanted a 10 dollar gift certificate to Electronics Boutique once so I got Roadkill and some other game. I wish I still had it.
Yeah me too, I have no idea what happened to my copy and since there was never a PC version its one of those things that's difficult to just pirate as a GOG or something.

20 years later and people STILL don't know how to use the context menu key.

The alternatives at the time, at the same price point, were pretty dire in comparison.

Probably needs the 'puns' tag cause they're just swimming in them
I opted for "what" instead but in retrospect you're right.

My mom used 95, but just for pictures, music, email and the web.
That whole thing is like a hustle, no time to breathe or think, unless someone re-edited it to be that way.

so...who wants to count the number of times that "fwoop" "pop-up" noise (like at 1:01) plays in this video. You get a prize.
