No/Yes. Most anything else interesting is charecter driven so it wouldn't be interesting out of context. They -can- destroy whole planets but the fun bit happens on radar and they only show the aftermath.

This series has a really cool setting and some neat ideas but it's full of shitty/creepy japanese writing tropes.

Basically, it is anime.

There's a good reason: Nihei likes talking bears. His Biomega comic had one too, I believe.

I saw a few episodes of this on Netflix and thought it was OK, but this clip isn't all that interesting by itself.
