True story:

As a wee child in 1980s New Orleans, the local library had all the Crawfish Man books and I probably read (and enjoyed) about ten of them. They inspired me to create my first little comic book on notebook paper with some friends of mine in 4th grade.

The art for Crawfish Man was terrible, but he did have a knack for local humor. The books were these big pooh-brown things bound on legal size paper.
