The Mothership - 2014-12-14
This was a great show for 14 year olds. I loved it.

This show was quality. This is always what I wished "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" was more like.

I bought the shit out of this series on DVD.

FABIO - 2014-12-14 So did I and I honestly wish I hadn't.
I don't think the show held up to adult me. Should have kept it as a happy pre-teen memory.
|
spikestoyiu - 2014-12-14 I dunno. It's not surprising to me that I didn't enjoy it as much as I did as a kid, but I lowered my expectations a bit and I still liked it. It wasn't as jarring as it could have been.

FABIO - 2014-12-14 I think the episodes could be divided up into 3 plots, each with varying quality. The best were about different dimensions or time loops (getting sucked into the milk carton dimension), the middle ones were about some new weird person in town, and the lame ones were usually about a monster (the mummy episode).
I take that back, the worst ones were when they got too heavy about some kid's inattentive parents. Those were Lisa Simpson plots.

spikestoyiu - 2014-12-15 I may regret asking this question, but which episodes are the ones about inattentive parents? I haven't watched any of these in a couple of years, but I'd actually like to revisit one of the more rotten ones. Oh, and the one with the kids in the Tupperware, maybe to balance it all out.
|
Nominal - 2014-12-15 Broken Record I think? Kid is obsessed with some punk record he plays over and over.
|
FABIO - 2014-12-15 Oh shit the satanic messages in the record one!
Wasn't there another one about a girl who ran away from home? It seemed like there were a few of those. Maybe I'm confused.
