Happy Bacon Day!
Not very much room for the poor piggies, but otherwise this is nowhere near as in-your-face awful as the PETA videos.
Yeah.. I dated a PETA person for a while and her bedroom was covered in pictures of animals skinned alive and such. I might choose to be vegan but I don't care what others eat as long as they know where it's coming from.
Actually it made the sex really good. Usually I try to think about algebra or something the way some think about baseball, but all the pictures sort of did that for me. The problem was sleeping. I'd have crazy nightmares about the furless and skinned animals attacking me.

Huh, Dan Quayle was right about Murphy Brown, I guess.
The livestock production subsidiary of Smithfield Foods, Inc., Murphy-Brown LLC is the world's largest producer of hogs.
Christie had a chance to ban this shit in NJ, but vetoed the bill. Because they like this crap in IOWA.

Watching this while Godflesh plays in the background. The two go together surprisingly well.
It is a partisan issue because HIPPIES
This is a secret? In many states, we had lots of legislative initiatives to get them shut down based mostly on the waste lagoons. The pigs' welfare never came up, but the odor of the lagoons as well as what happens when one bursts were enough to get the ball rolling.
Naturally, the libertopians came along screaming about big government and defeated them.

The people behind these revolting death-swamps should call them piggeries! Now there's a word that just can't convey outrage, no matter how hard those hippies try!

Maybe the anti-regulation nuts will back down if we tell them Smithfield was bought by a Chinese company and most of the pork is destined for non-American markets.
Ehh... you can see that cesspool just as easily on Google Maps. The whole drones aspect of this is just a gimmick.
The interviews part of it is kind of interesting, though.
This isn't common knowledge?

If you want a fun depressing job, you should be a water quality management specialist that deals with CAFOs (Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations). If you aren't a vegetarian after a week on the job, you are a stronger person than I was.
