So, ру́сский is sort of an ethnic thing right? Like let's say I call myself an Australian because I moved to live in Australia, but if they asked where I was from I'd say United States or Oregon, or Oregon's many transplants who identify themselves as Oregonians now but aren't native.. some people are dicks about it and are like "you're not from Australia/Oregon" and most don't care, but it's kinda cool that there's a word for it that isn't slang (for example, native Oregonians call themselves Unicorns.)
