Steve Airport - 2015-01-13 0:28 Beans' face would make for some terrifying wall art, maybe 2 feet wide and hovering at eye level behind a closed door or blind corner
cognitivedissonance - 2015-01-13 Beans was created by Bob Clampett at the age of 20. Clampett was a literal Golden God, working with Tex Avery and given unprecedented freedom to do pretty much whatever he wanted to do by Leon Schlesinger, a fact which Chuck Jones never, ever forgot or forgave. When Jones directed the Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck Movie in the 70s, he deliberately omitted the name of Clampett from the credits.
Spit Spingola - 2015-01-14 Oh hey, Chuck Jones animated on this cartoon, too. It's funny how small Chuck Jones was, given that he's one of the best cartoonists of all time. If he was in competition with Clampett he'd sort of won by the 70s. I've read about him and Friz Freling trying to stifle competition within Warner Bros. too.
