I miss my laserdisc player and large collection of these discs.

Old_Zircon - 2015-01-09 They're all from the same series, which is basically the Rolls Royce of karaoke laserdiscs. Some of the even have sets and stuff.
|
Old_Zircon - 2015-01-09 Unfortunately, the torrents I've downloaded so far have a different version of "Like A Virgin" than the discs I used to have, and the Dickies song was a mislabeled file. Seemed too good to be true.

infinite zest - 2015-01-11 There's a place not too far from my house that specializes in discontinued media, like 8 tracks, betamax and of course laserdisc. I go there once in a while because it's one of the few places I know of where you can still buy minidiscs. I'll keep an eye out next time I'm over there.

Old_Zircon - 2015-01-11 I used to have about 20 (got them for free) but when my laserdisc player died I left them at a friend's house and moved away.
She still lives in the same place actually, but that was like 8 years ago I doubt they're still around.

Jet Bin Fever - 2015-01-09
Strangely appropriate imagery for these things.

Gmork - 2015-01-09
Tom Waits hasn't covered this? I can't find a version.

|
Old_Zircon - 2015-01-09 The 16 Tons chord progression is used all over the place, too, I wouldn't be surprised if he hadn't used it more than once since everyone else has.

Gmork - 2015-01-09 It's damn catchy. I actually found myself humming the words and then halfheartedly singing them and finally singing them badly.
