I love how the Disney Corporation was the prime mover behind modern copyright laws, strengthening the state's regulatory powers beyond all reason in ways that would shore up Disney's creative hegemony at the expense of everyone else, despite the fact that Disney's whole empire was built from looting smaller companies and the public domain. Disney has an marvelous animation studio and was a key influence on guys like Tezuka; their employees really can do amazing work when they want to. It's just too bad they pissed away all of their positive karma generations ago.
