I think the angst wore off.

And now I'm imagining Tool in the middle of a concert when suddenly the music just peters out and they all look at each other.

"Uh, hey, I kinda feel okay, now."

"Yeah, me too..."

"Um...yeah. Things are, well, good."

"Uh. well...Okay, that's it, I guess. Goodnight, everybody! Thank you!"

And the audience members all just look at each other confused for a minute or two and slowly start filing out.
