I came in here to say "needs Working Designs tag" AND IT IS ALREADY THERE. You rock, Kid Fenris.

infinite zest - 2015-01-11 Yeah. Since they're linked, I also rocked out to my Lunar Collection CD. If I liked Lunar, which I did, would I like this? Looks like it's 99 cents on the iTunes store with enhanced graphics and new voiceovers. Anything to cleanse my palette forever from Simpsons Tapped Out.

Kid Fenris - 2015-01-11 I dunno. Vay's never as good as Lunar (the intro's the most interesting part), and it has a ton of repetitive random battles. Then again, it's 99 cents. That's like four cents per hour of gameplay!

StanleyPain - 2015-01-11 Vay was cool for the time, it has not aged well at all.
|
infinite zest - 2015-01-11 Yeah, looks like they didn't touch the animation either.. seems like I remember Lunar's animation being way better, but I only had it for PSX. You'd think a lot of these games would've tried harder, as the animation was really the only incentive for casual RPG gamers to get a Sega CD instead of just stick with Landstalker, Phantasy Star, Shining Force, etc.. I dunno, unless you really liked Night Trap.. Fuck, I had a 3DO..
|
StanleyPain - 2015-01-11 Lunar wasn't much better originally, it probably just feels that way. The update, Silver Star Story, redid everything with way higher animation and sprite quality, and I think most people remember that rather than the original which was a bit rough around the edges.

I can't be the only one who keeps reading the title as O Vay for the Sega CD.

We programmed our robot only for death. Then we turned him on, and he instantly died. PROJECT SUCCESSFUL!
The project cost three billion dollars.
