This fucking sucks. 5 stars.
listening to coldplay is like being buried alive in a really nice coffin
infinite zest
I remember hearing this song on at the grocery store not too long ago, and I kinda liked it, especially compared to the usual stuff that comes on in there.

It's kind of sobering to think Coldplay was just another rung on the steady slide of pop music towards being the equivalent of the "demo" button on a Casio keyboard.

Popular hip-hop has been the demo button on a Casio for like four years now, at least.

infinite zest
It's funny because I didn't know it was Coldplay until I watched this video, I just sort of assumed it was Band of Foxes or whatever. Nearly every other Coldplay song I've heard I haven't liked, except for a really cool remix of Clocks by Royksopp.

there are so many worse bands than Coldplay.

I love Viva la Vida because it makes me think of Autumn of the Patriarch for some reason.

The thing that's so bad about Coldplay is that they aren't even bad, they're just punishingly banal. The perfect middle class white people band for the 00s, really.

This just didn't need to happen.
How strikingly unnecessary.
