Adham Nu'man - 2015-01-14

Music to fend off vagina.

infinite zest - 2015-01-15

That's what the Spit Valve's for.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2015-01-14

That is quite pleasant. Also I think his different coloured t-shirts is a nice idea.

Nominal - 2015-01-14

The different colored shirts are to prove that it's all the same guy, not just any given bowling team.

boner - 2015-01-14

He wanted to prove he owns two shirts.

Flying Omelette - 2015-01-15

There are actually three shirts. A red, orange, and yellow.

Maggot Brain - 2015-01-15

I think he just has the one shirt and just changed the color digitally.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2015-01-16

I think I mainly like the composition of the music he's playing.. Its seems really .. balanced.. or something?

themilkshark - 2015-01-14

What a shitty drummer

gravelstudios - 2015-01-14

I wonder what Chris Chan thinks of this?

Sexy Duck Cop - 2015-01-14

I heard he loved it so much he planted an IED at Burger King.

EvilHomer - 2015-01-14

I don't think he'd mind this. He has a lot of weird reactions to things, but these reactions have their own internal logic, they all make sense when viewed on his level.

I really hope he doesn't make a bomb. I don't think he will, but he's been addressing ideations lately, which given his current level of stress and lack of support is a little worrying.

theSnake - 2015-01-14

A bomb lol that guy can't make toast

This video's almost two years old so as far as I know it was before Sonic decided to grow blue hair on his arms. I was doing respite care for someone a few days ago who was really into Sonic. Like, dude's got Sonic slippers, Pajamas, plush toys, all the games, etc. and I asked him what he thought about the blue arms in the new ones and he was like "they just suck anyway." Growing up with non-talking videogame archetypes it was weird for Mario to sound less like Captain Lou and more like Luigi from The Simpsons, or Sonic to have an "attitude" all of a sudden in his voice and mannerisms whereas beforehand he was just a sweet hedgehog. I don't remember feeling betrayed necessarily, but it just didn't feel right. I do wish Sega would address this change, because for the one Chris-Chan who takes action there are probably millions of others who don't like their hero toyed around with.

EvilHomer - 2015-01-15

Sonic always had an attitude, though. It wasn't always In Yo Face, on account of early Sonic never talking, but I distinctly remember being aware of Sonic's characterization as the world's "freshest" video game mascot, even as far back as Sonic One. Perhaps it was the advertising...? Sega was always trying to play itself up as the video game system that talked back to its parents, so that may have influenced my perception of Sonic the Hedgehog as a sass-mouthed asshole.

Sonic definitely got a lot more obnoxious and angsty as time went on, but he was never what I'd call sweet, more like Poochie-cool.

As for Chris making a bomb, it's true he'd probably never be able to make one himself. But I wouldn't put it past his A-logs to gift him a box of fireworks, or even a homemade pipebomb, in hopes that he'd try and blow up a store.

Oh yeah. Sega was the "Nintendon't" and "Blast Processing" but besides the "Nintendon't" it was pretty passive aggressive, like "would you rather be some overweight plumber meandering around or speed through loops at breakneck speed?" Really it was about the same as those "I'm a Mac/PC" ads. I think it was Nintendo with its "Play it Loud" ad with the Butthole Surfers and subsequent campaign that actually sparked the increasingly "extreme" ads from both, as well as Jaguar and 3DO, but I could be wrong.

EvilHomer - 2015-01-15

Nintendo's always been pretty family-friendly, which is weird so far as Chris' concerned. He's always been a Nintendo mark, yet Sonic the Asshole was his favorite video game character? 90s Nintendo was a bit edgier than usual, thanks in part to the lessons they learned with Mortal Kombat, but by the time the 32 bit era was in full swing, I think Nintendo relalized they were better off conceding the 3dge d3mografYk to Sega and Sony. Nintendo knew their market: children and casual gamers. Let Sega and Sony fight over the hardcore crowd.

EvilHomer - 2015-01-15

Speaking of Mortal Kombat, Kung Lao, Goro, and FUCKING KITANA coming back for MKX!!! I'm so stoked. Expect to see a whole lot of fanart featuring my original character, the Electric Princess Pokemon, Kitanachu!

BUT DANG YOU, ED BOON, HER ARMS AREN'T FRIGGIN BLUE ENOUGH!!!

infinite zest - 2015-01-15

Yeah I've been watching the same videos, and it kind of looks like the best fighting game ever. My house has a 360, and it looks like it's being developed by separate studios for 360 and PS4/XB1.. I wonder if that'll make a difference. If I had my housing shit together a little more I might want to invest in a next-gen system, but the 360's mostly just used for netflix anyway.. hopefully the 360 one will be fun, even if it's not as pretty to look at.

infinite zest - 2015-01-15

Although when I see MKX I immediately think of Lincoln. :D

infinite zest - 2015-01-15

And I mentioned it before here, but some of MK9's fatalities just weren't fun anymore and kinda uncomfortable, to me anyway, whereas what I've seen here is pretty much back to basics fatality fun without the torture.

EvilHomer - 2015-01-15

Yeah, my PS3 is my Netflix Box, and has been so since I bought my new computer, almost a year ago. I'm *probably* not going to buy a PS4 *solely* for MKX, but, you know, that wouldn't really be too far out of character for me sadly (I am a hopeless MK mark). On the plus side, I've got plenty of money saved up, because I almost never buy anything outside of the bare essentials (I got used to living off

EvilHomer - 2015-01-15

... less than k a year during my 20s), but it's still a pain in the ass to wake up one morning and found you've squandered a hundred bucks on a refurbished iPad just so you could get the crappy 3D iOS remake of UMK3.
