"volumptuous" - with an m.
Gmork - 2015-01-19
Those kinds of misspellings really grind my gears.

Gmork - 2015-01-19
Truly, there is no example of a convincing post-op tranny.

Maybe in Thailand, but who the fuck wants a girl who is already built like a 12 year old boy?

Caminante, maybe.

EvilHomer - 2015-01-19
Pre-op, or post-op? That one-off galpal of ChrisChan's, Bailey Jay, was pretty convincing.

Gmork - 2015-01-19
I suppose the foreknowledge of whether someone is actually the gender they present themselves as will ruin the nature of the guessing game.

ashtar. - 2015-01-19
Everyone is the gender they present themselves as. Because that's what gender is: presentation.

EvilHomer - 2015-01-19
Gender, but not sex. I believe that is why Gmork is upset about trans-individuals: in his eyes, their socially constructed gender clearly does not match their biologically defined sex. He finds the presentation dissonant and unnerving.

His statement is a little clunky, but becomes clearer if you understand that when he says "someone is actually", by the word "actually" he refers not to gender but to the individual's sex. (i.e. the subject may be gendered female, but "is actually" male)

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-01-19
So, uh, Gmork: how much fatter does her ass have to be to give you a boner?

Gmork - 2015-01-19
Upset about trans individuals?

When did I ever state that they upset me? What a stupid assumption.

That's incorrect assumption #245 by you guys... making it 245 incorrect assumptions in a row since I joined this site.

Gmork - 2015-01-19
Also: There is no "her" in this video. Not sure what you're talking about - it's a man with plastic surgery, not a woman.

How far up your own ass with fake political correctness (which isn't EVEN correct) are you?

EvilHomer - 2015-01-19
So which offends you more: that "he" identifies as a "she", or that she's black?

Spaceman Africa - 2015-01-19
fuck off already, gmork

Shoebox Joe - 2015-01-19
Gmork, at what point do you not understand that your own "common sense" is disrespectful to said person's emotions? If you're not going to try to figure it out then at least give the benefit of the doubt to what they're aiming for. You don't have to have the technical side of the whole thing to show a sliver of respect.

EvilHomer - 2015-01-19
Assuming you're being serious, Gmork, let me ask you this: what kind of man thinks long and hard about how he'd play the "transexual guessing game"? Like, oh no, all these tempting traps everywhere, what happens if I encounter one, WILL I KNOW OR WON'T I?

What does this behavior say about you as a person?

I can't wait for your own personal Tomgirl Saga, by the way.

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-01-19
Now now, you're not being very respectful of Gmork's feelings either.

There he was, minding his own beeswaxs, when allofasudden up pops this gigantic jiggling black ass! and Gmork's main mast follows suit: he's all ready to set sail when Miss Thing turns about the starboard side, opens her meaty mouth and exclaims "Ahoy, Sailor!".

As EvilHomer sez, that can be disturbing.

EvilHomer - 2015-01-19
I was MORTIFIED when I learned Mana from Malice Mizer was a trap. :(

urbanelf - 2015-01-19
"Volumptuous", that's how we conversate.

Jet Bin Fever - 2015-01-21
Seriously, fuck you Gmork. You have no idea about what you're talking about, so you have no right to comment on it.

Crank dat car girl, crank dat car.
Old_Zircon - 2015-01-19
The fact that transgender and transexuality are so often conflated with body dismorphic disorder makes it tricky to address the case of a trans person who happens to also be suffering from body dismorphic disorder.

You're right O_Z. I've seen people of all genders that experience body dysmorphic disorder after a period of physical change, like losing a lot of weight or gaining it and so forth. It happens to almost everyone during puberty, to a small degree. And I can't think of any bigger change than that brought about by hormone therapy and transitioning.
Maybe it's that once you start really focusing on your physical form and seeing it as something that can be changed, it is easy to alter your perception of what that change should look like.

Old_Zircon - 2015-06-30
The first trans person I actually knew well (who chose not to transition for both personal and financial reasons, although we've been out of touch for years so who knows now) went through a period of a few years after figuring out what was up during which she felt so alienated from her own body that she put on a ton of weight and rarely bathed because it was hard to do something that intimate to the body that no longer felt like her own.

Which makes perfect sense to me.
