From what I'm reading, they indeed attempted tasers (of course, then you read headlines LAPD TASERS UNARMED HOMELESS MAN) and he was shot because he tried to get a weapon from one. I can hear one of them shouting "Drop the gun! Drop the gun!"

So they empty 6 shots into a man pinned onto the ground by four cops?

Dude looked like he was getting beat, cuffed, and tasered all at once and then it suddenly turned into gun fire. If the homeless man did attempt a gun grab, it shows some incredible incompetence on the multiple police jumping on him. If a gun grab was attempted, it wouldn't have warranted deadly force. I doubt a guy getting tasered would have the dexterity necessary to take a gun from another man's holster. Send those fuckers to prison.

The most unsettling thing is the hesitation between shots one and two and four and five. I hate to put myself in this man or even Darren Wilson's shoes, but you do panic, even when you have extensive police training. And whatever altercation really took place, Wilson fired twice, at least aiming for non-vital areas. This is just like "Oh, shit, that was kinda fun.. let's do it again!"

I think LAPD is just trained to say "Drop the gun!" before they shoot anyone.
