That's me in middle school Algebra (except with more giant penises on everything). I have to say though, my generation (I was class of 2000) kinda lucked out: teachers couldn't ban graphic calculators for upper level high school math so we could make or share Tetris, Zelda, even a working Wolfenstein 3D and there really wasn't much one calculus teacher could do to monitor it. Now, smartphones are off in school or in some cases put into bins, etc. It's kinda weird: I found a way to get around it and kinda gave up on doodles like this because I had Tetris on my TI-83. Kids now have GTA San Andreas on their iphones if they want it, and went back to doodles. :)
Shoulda watched some of the related maths videos first; she gets into that: "when am I ever gonna need parabolas?" I dunno because that's Angry Birds and every other fucking game that rips off Scorched Earth. Because those people have lots of millions of dollars and you're working in a Hollywood Havana Hotel and learning that the Gary Indiana Mudslide isn't a name for a drink that's why, parabolas.
You're all going to hate me. I know. However, I find her videos grating beyond belief. I got as far as the damned logarithm pun, and I'm just incredibly proud to have made it that far.
Best of luck to vihart, but I can't fucking stand her schtick.
I took a class on World War II in college. You'd think that would be an interesting and enjoyable weekly lecture...it wasn't. I suspect the professor just was not engaged in the subject and simply rattled off timelines and facts for every lecture. I covered an entire sheet of notes from one class with the word "boring" in as many different handwritten fonts as I could imagine. It was a doodling masterpiece.
I took a class on 20th century US history in college and the professor was born around WWI and taught the entire class via anecdotes from his own life. That could have been a mess but it was actually one of the best courses I had, certainly the only one in the honors core curriculum that wasn't a step down from high school.
