Tall bikes :(

I actually did see something pretty impressive today on my way to work though. Guy with a triple-frame tallbike went into the Plaid Pantry and got a Steelie and launched himself back on top by using the side of the building and just one hand. Just continued riding down the street drinking malt liquor on tallbike.

Oh yeah: Plaid Pantry = every convenience store. Yeah it was called "Plaid" unironically and was around way before the grunge movement.

I'm a big fan of that jury-rigged-dolly-as-bike trailer. I can see lots of potential for that.

I'm hoping his test rides were at around 4am through cul de sac suburban neighborhoods.

If it's St. Patricks Day the way it was like in Milwaukee, WI that wouldn't be surprising. Like Chicago, they make the river green and open carry laws (walking only) disappear for 24 hours and the bars stay open. My then-brother-in-law called me at 5AM on St. Patricks Day one year and had been drinking since he'd gotten off work, probably around midnight. He was already intoxicated when I met him and I saw him drink some 60-odd shots of whiskey in addition to beer and mixed drinks throughout the day, which continued until around midnight. I think I had 2 beers that day. And he had to work at 6AM the next morning and was fine. He might not be family anymore, but I admire his liver, or lack thereof.

Oh yeah, the point of that story: we lived within the city but in a very residential neighborhood, but the city's got a bunch of bars that are/were just houses at one point and a lot of families and stuff. A stranger puking and passing out on your front lawn in front of your kids was pretty commonplace.
