They were getting a little old for me until the Dirty Dancing one, which was amazing, but yeah it's tough to keep up the act. I remember when I first got to Madison, I had never heard of the AV Club section of the Onion (they have it online now, but they used to be localized for the community the papers were distributed in) and I thought the film reviews were fake as well, and turned out missing a few good films in the theatres because I thought the reviewers were just being snarky and ironic when they said "this is a really good movie." Not the case at all: AV Club's pretty much the only source I read for film (and music) reviews these days, especially now that Ebert's no longer with us.
