Meth and toothpaste: surprisingly similar processes for completely opposite effects.

Is the narration working some UK version of a deejay or mixing in the Mike Myers mode of Brit-speak? Every latter half of sentence has it's own EMPHASIS making everything he talks about "aMAZing!"

Then again it's just an "Unwrapped" style of show and this is basically how Marc Summers did it too. I'm over-thinking this.

"3,000 hours of your life brushing your teeth." Or if you're Marc Summers, 300,000,000

"AL-UM-IN-UM!" I'll never accept that extra "I" no sir. It's like the IUPAC just wanted to win at Scrabble or something.

The reason for the extra I is to maintain consistency with other elements, like uranIUM, iridIUM, radIUM, helIUM, sodIUM/natrIUM, etc.

I think it sounds stupid too, but that's why the IUPAC made that decision.

This comforted me for some reason.
