Oh, no! Some of that blood got into her mouth! With a mustache like that, you know he's just swimming with STD's.

Seconding the Tom Savini tag.

Done.

Man, Siskel is a little bitch, wasn't a shotgun to the face head explosion scene pretty common place by 1980? Tom Savini's character in this movie is named "Disco Boy" in the credits

The editing and the acting in this scene were uncommonly terrible.

Robin Kestrel - 2015-04-23
Yeah, but he also walked out on The Million Dollar Duck and Black Sheep.

Bootymarch - 2015-04-23
30 minutes? He was probably coming down and just needed a good exit point to go score some more blow.

Also somehow not a dupe?

That's a good maniac shotgun to the head scene. Yes. You get a treat.

Both visceral and hokey at the same time. The 80's were a magical time for film. Ninjas jumped from palm fronds onto helicopters, and arcades would emerge from your linen closet at night to shoot lasers into your eyeballs.

This is a pretty good movie. One of the few William Lustig films that actually manages to be kinda disturbing rather than just hokey (not that I have anything against the Maniac Cop movies) Apparently the film was some kind of labor of love for Joe Spinelli who really wanted the film to work.

It must be cool/weird to do the special effects for your own death.
